Salon Update
As we face the reality that our stay-at-home orders are extended, I want to talk about when and how Leila and I plan to open the salon. At this time, regardless of state-wide guidelines, we will not be opening before June 1. We both feel that, based on available information, it would be best to wait until then. When we do open, there will be some changes. We are looking to guidelines and recommendations for salons from a range of sources, including Board of Cosmetology recommendations in states that are opening earlier, as well as suggestions from the Associated Nail Professionals and ideas from our professional community. We also want to remind you that it is just the two of us and our clients. We will be looking at options for maintaining distance and the best possible disinfection procedures.
While the majority of changes are ones we will be handling, there will be a couple of new things we will require from our clients who come to see us. The main one is that we will require all clients to wear masks at all times in the salon. This is primarily to prevent people from unknowingly spreading virus when asymptomatic, but will also offer the wearer an added level of protection. We will have masks available in the salon, but feel free to bring your favorite one! We can match a nail design to your mask!
