Help for Dennis

As many of my clients know, we have unofficially adopted a refugee from El Salvador, named Dennis. Dennis has been living with us since October 2019, and is just as sweet as can be. Along with an unfortunate bit of advice in the beginning, the pandemic dramatically disrupted the anticipated schedule for getting them through the asylum application process, and it has stalled out completely. We are 2.5 years in, and they haven’t had a single trial and don’t currently even have a trial date. We had expected legal support from the organization that connected us (along with other support that was promised), but they seem to be in over their heads with the addition of trying to help refugees. All this bring us to my big ask: we want to get Dennis a lawyer that will be there for questions, get trial dates, and get this process started and wrapped up. It has been incredibly hard for our sweet kiddo to not have any certainty about the future, and I really want to see that uncertainty cleared up. Additionally, if you know any good immigration lawyers, especially those who speak Spanish, please pass along their information.

Anything helps, so please share this link and donate if you can.
